MotoGP Qatar: Bezzecchi Dominates, Marc Marquez Postpones the Celebration. The MotoGP Standings

Marco Bezzecchi dominates and wins the Qatar Grand Prix. At Lusail, the Aprilia rider redeems himself after his devastating and controversial crash in Saturday’s Sprint Race—caused by contact with Marc Marquez—and secures the victory by leading the race from start to finish, proving unbeatable for anyone.

Even for Marc Marquez himself, who must postpone his celebration of his tenth world title until the next round in Portugal and has to settle for second place in the standings after staging a comeback following a difficult start. Joining them on the podium was Raul Fernandez of the Trackhouse Aprilia team, who finished ahead of his teammate Ai Ogura.

Fifth place went to a surprising Enea Bastianini, followed by Pedro Acosta, a stoic Jorge Martin—who finished seventh despite a broken wrist—and Fabio Di Giannantonio of VR46. Johann Zarco and Iker Lecuona also finished in the top ten. Pecco Bagnaia is in Italy, where he underwent foot surgery following Saturday’s nasty crash. Luca Marini also withdrew due to a physical issue.
