For Ide Schelling triple celebration
It’s triple the satisfaction for Ide Schelling. The Dutchman of BORA – hansgrohe won the second stage of the Tour of the Basque Country, recorded a WorldTour success for the first time and took the lead in the overall standings of the Spanish stage race.
“I am immensely proud,” he said after crossing the finish line in Leitza. “I was well positioned before the last descent. With one kilometer to go I found a gap and 500 meters later I sprinted: I immediately realized that it would be difficult to be caught and so it was.”
