Tour de France, Vingegaard explains the real trouble
The Dane is fine but the withdrawals of Roglic and Kruijswijk threaten to be fatal.
Yellow jersey Jonas Vingegaard calmed everyone down after crashing 57 kilometers from the finish of stage 15 of the Tour de France, when he also suffered a blow to his shoulder. The Dane did not suffer any serious consequences: “I fell but I’m okay, I hope Tiejs Benoot has no problems since he fell worse than me. I however fortunately have nothing serious.”
However, the Jumb-Visma leader lost two important domestiques like Primoz Roglic and Steven Kruijswijk: “The worst thing about today is the loss of Kruijswijk and Roglic because they were key pawns for us. It was a really bad day, but of course we will keep fighting until the last and give as every day our best. I believe in myself, the legs are good and obviously I want to pursue this dream until the last.” Pogacar remains more than 2 minutes and 20 seconds behind.
