F1, Carlos Sainz: "I didn’t enjoy driving Ferrari"

Carlos Sainz in an interview with As went over his difficult 2023, starting with his complicated relationship with Ferrari’s 2023 single-seater, the SF-23: "È it has been said that è a car that suits me, that I like, but honestly it gave me headaches, not only me", confessed the Spanish driver.

"Even for Charles Leclerc è it was a difficult car to interpret. I did not enjoy driving it, I had to adapt in many ways". The disappointment è came right away, right from the first tests in Bahrain: "We had understood immediately after the first three laps in the Bahrain tests that the SF-23 was a complicated single-seater". 

The Iberian driver hopes for a change of course: "That’s why I hope the Ferrari 2024 will change a lot, I hope it will be a more versatile car, easy to drive and tune".

Sainz è finished seventh in the F1 World Championship driver standings, but è was the only non-Red Bull driver to win a race in 2023.
