From that moment Thompson fails to get back into the match and Musetti, thanks to eight consecutive points closes the set and the match on 6-1.
In the next round, the Italian will face Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik, who in his debut match won in a comeback over Britain's Daniel Evans with a score of 4-6 6-2 6-1.
