Obtained from the pure vinification of Croatina grapes, this Bonarda from Cantine Vitea bears the name of Giorgio Gallesio, the well-known public administrator and botanist, who first wrote about this vine in 1831, calling it “Croattino” and identifying it precisely in the ’Oltrepò Pavese. To him, to Giorgio Gallesio, to his studies and his works, Antonio Faravelli’s winery has dedicated the fruit of a work of careful selection and vinification of Croatina grapes.
Intense ruby red color accompanies a rich, vinous aroma with hints of plum and red berries. The’balanced acidityà gives this wine a special freshness. Excellent with meat dishes, cured meats, risotto, pasta. Try it with pizza.
