Very bad news for Petra Vlhova. The Slovakian star, the victim of a bad fall near the ninth gate during the first run of the women’s giant slalom in Jasna in front of her own audience, suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate and medial collateral of her right knee.

It was a very hard blow for the Olympic slalom champion who will thus be forced to skip the rest of the season, in which she had already scored three slalom victories (Levi, Courchevel and Kranjska Gora) and was only 25 points behind Mikaela Shiffrin in the World Cup specialty ranking.

Vlhova wasn't the only one to fall in the Jasna stage. Italian Federica Brignone è also ended up on the ground, but fortunately she did not suffer any physical damage.
