Gian Piero Ventura goes down flat with Napoli
Gian Piero Ventura doesn’t mince words
After the victory against Monza last April 7, Napoli has strung together a series of disappointing results: three draws, all after being ahead by one goal, and one defeat, away to Empoli. A roster that, among other things, puts the partenopei’s participation in the cups next year at great risk.
At the microphones of 'Radio Kiss Kiss', Gian Piero Ventura reserves words that are anything but tender for the outgoing champions of Italy: "Napoli is only waiting for the end of the championship, è evident. Even yesterday è went ahead, but the match was not è transcendental compared to what were the values on the field. We could definitely do more; it would be a shame only not to go to Europe".
As for the identikit of the next coach, Ventura explains: "The ideal Napoli coach would be someone who has football skills and a great character. You need someone who can handle the various issues that punctually arise in that company'".
"Today there's to rebuild under the technical-tactical and mental aspect, on the level of relationships and so much more. There'è a lot of work to be done to return to being the Napoli that people expect" concluded the former technical commissioner of the National team.
