Tadej Pogacar dominated the Giro d'Italia 2024 with impressive ease, monopolizing it from the first stages to the epilogue. In the 20th and penultimate stage of the pink race, the Slovenian cyclist also made a splash, winning his sixth personal stage by a breakaway after the double climb up Mount Grappa.
At a press conference, the Slovenian star told of his feelings after an overwhelming victory lap: "The plan was to end the Giro with a day to remember, and so it was. The crowd è was outstanding all along the 18km climb, there&39;was so much noise we couldn&39;t hear the little radio. It's been the finish we wanted".
"It è not all easy in a Grand Tour, it was a tough three weeks, I suffered from allergies after Naples, but in the end è everything went right".
"Every year I try to improve, I even changed trainers. I am also moreù experienced and this helps me to overcome difficult moments. Tomorrow I will go to Rome for the first time, it will be beautiful", concluded the Slovenian.
