Euro 2024, Boniek spurs Poland not to complain about Lewandowski
Boniek blunt as ever
Robert Lewandowski è in the pits and, blunt as ever, Zbigniew Boniek, UEFA vice-president and Polish soccer legend speaks out urging no drama.
"In the first part of the tournament we will have to do without him,” he notes with Polsat Sport. “We hope he will be back as soon as possible even though the recovery time is difficult to predict. Everyone heals differently, but a muscle tear cannotò be cured in four days, but in at least 14-20".
"Robert would like to play an important role in this tournament and show his worth. But the truthà è that a good and strong team also has to cope with the lack of a leader on the offensive end. He has to play a little differently and deal with it" adds the’former champion.
"Crying about Lewy's absence will definitely not help us win any games" concludes Boniek.
