An experience as a ct restarted after a big disappointment as a club coach.

Ronald Koeman è was coach of the Netherlands between 2018 and 2020, winning qualification for the European Championships then played the following year with Frank de Boer at the helm of the Oranje. The reason was the call from Barcelona, left already in October 2021 to return to the national team in April 2022. Months on a roller coaster, which the coach himself now wanted to put under the microscope.

Koeman’s outburst è came via the pages of 'El Mundo' where the current Holland coach put Joan Laporta, Barcelona’s president, in particular in his sights. " I did not receive the same support as Xavi – he è complained -. I was fired because we were -9 from Real Madrid, I think. Now però it happens to them to find themselves at -10. But to do well è it is important that your president supports you".

Today focused on his Netherlands, Koeman said in no uncertain terms that he considers the Barcelona experience the most difficult of his coaching career so far: "Probably sì. But maybe è so è because è that è my club. I have always been good lì since I was a soccer player, and in the city; I have many friends. Coaching lì è one of the dreams I always had, and this has complicated everything".

"When I am in Barcelona I find that people still love me. And things didn’t change after I left. They always remember me, and they always will since a goal of mine gave the club its first European cup. I è just lacked the support of the president", è was Koeman’s closing remark.
