Massimiliano Alvini starts again at Cosenza

Massimiliano Alvini è has been named Cosenza’s new coach. The Fucecchio-born coach, who recently led Cremonese and Spezia, being exonerated by both the grigiorosso and Ligurian clubs, has signed a two-year contract.

"The Società Cosenza Calcio announces that from next July 1 Massimiliano Alvini will beà the coach of the Lupi! The new technician of the Rossoblù, chosen for his professional and human qualities, has accepted with great enthusiasm the proposal of the Club finding the’agreement valid until June 30, 2026" let the Calabrian club know.

"Mister Alvini, born in Fucecchio in 1970, embarked on his coaching career in 2001, accumulating experience on the amateur benches before landing, promotion after promotion, in Lega Pro with Tuttocuoio. In 2015 the move to Pistoiese, again in Serie C, and then to all’Albinoleffe and Reggiana. At the helm of the Emiliani he won promotion to Serie B in the 2019/2020 season, bringing Reggiana back to the cadetteria after a good 21 years. When the experience in Emilia ended, the coach coached the newly promoted Perugia (2021/2022 season), winning access to the play-offs. In the 2022/2023 season, Alvini led Cremonese, a newly promoted formation in Serie A while, last season, he è was the coach of Spezia for 15 days.
