Khalil Ahmad dresses in red and white
New purchase for Pesaro: Khalil Ahmad arrives
Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro made official on Sunday the addition to its roster of Khalil Ahmad, an American playmaker/guard who last season played in the Belgian league, at Filou Oostende. To the VL official channels, the new red and white purchase said he was enthusiastic about his landing in the Italian league.
"It's great to be able to sign for Pesaro,” Ahmad said, “a city and a club with great passion and tradition. I am extramotivated and charged up ahead of this season and I can't wait to meet everyone. What can I say to the Pesaro fans? I am eager to start this new experience".
After his four years in college, specifically at Cal State Fullerton, Khalil Ahmad was not è chosen in the 2019 NBA Draft and so he tried the adventure in Europe: in the 2019/20 season he played in Iceland, in Keflavik, moving the next year to Denmark, to Horsens IC.
He then è returned to North America, playing in the Canadian Elite Basketball League with the Niagara Falls River Lions, an experience interspersed in the 2022/23 season with experience in Israel, at Hapoel Beer Sheva. In the summer of 2023, the landing at Oostende, with whom he won the BNXT League before deciding to make the jump to Serie A.
