Davide Nicola è landed in Cagliari on Sunday evening: the newly appointed Rossoblù coach will get to work starting Monday, ahead of the start of the championship, scheduled to start next August 17. Waiting for him at the airport was the warmth of many Sardinian fans, who applauded Claudio Ranieri's heir.
The former Empoli coach issued first words of pride after his arrival: "I am very happy to have finally arrived. We will be committed to honor the identity of this people. I am receiving an extraordinary welcome. The calendar? We will have to face them all, it will be up to us to make sure we are ready", are the words reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
Nicola signed a contract until June 30, 2026, with an option to extend for one more season.
