Jannik Sinner triumphs at the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and è increasingly in the history of Italian tennis. The South Tyrolean, in fact, liquidated Frances Tiafoe in the final with a score of 7-6 6-2, becoming the first Italian ever to win on the American cement of Ohio and to win five tournaments in one year.

In the second set, however, Sinner became relentless as he quickly took a 5-1 lead and in just over an hour and a half of play closed the games on 6-2, winning his third 1000 of his career and 15th in total.

In the round of 16, the South Tyrolean champion took advantage of the injury forfeit of Australian Jordan Thompson, but in the quarterfinals and semifinals he had to face and win two authentic battles against Russian Andrey Rublev and German Alexander Zverev, both of which ended in the third set.
