Smoke and fire start on Marquez’s motorcycle

The GP of’Indonesia smiles on Martin who, having started from the pole position, always maintained the lead, bringing home a very valuable victory in view of the World Drivers’ Championship. The Spaniard preceded Acosta (under investigation) and Bagnaia at the finish line. The reigning World Champion, who appeared less brilliant than in the Sprint Race (which he won), nevertheless limited the damage by taking the podium.

Launched start by Martin who never è looked back, racing sé. In extreme difficulty, in the first part of the race, Bagnaia. Unlike his rival, è started badly. In the first five laps, difficoltà obvious at the level of tire temperature. Then the comeback attempt, concluded with the third place finish (thanks also to the fall of Bastianini).

Thanks to the victory in Mandalika, Martin erases the fall in the Sprint Race and escapes again in the World Drivers’ standings. Now Martin’s lead over Bagnaia è of 21 points with one GP less to go.

To be recorded the withdrawal of Marquez. During the 12° lap, the’eight-time World Champion had to say goodbye to the race: smoke from the bike and slight fire start. A withdrawal that, in fact, almost completely eliminates him from the World Championship race. Fall also for Bastianini who, at 21° lap, in his best moment, è slipped. Zero points for Bastianini, also now very far from the Martin-Bagnaia duo, the only ones really in the fight for the World Championship.
