Tragedy in the world of soccer. George Baldock è was found dead in the swimming pool of his home in Glyfada, a suburb of the cityà of Athens, Greece. At the moment, the cause of death is not known. Currently with Panathinaikos, the Greek defender was 31 years old.

Greek but of British descent, he was on the Greek national team roster (12 appearances, as of 2022). This summer he had signed with Panathinaikos. Prior to his move to the Greek club, he had played, for seven seasons, at Sheffield United, also playing three seasons in the Premier League.
