Cesare Prandelli: “Mario Balotelli at last resort but…”
Cesare Prandelli’s words on Mario Balotelli’s arrival at Genoa
Cesare Prandelli spoke about Mario Balotelli's arrival at Genoa to the microphones of 'La Gazzetta dello Sport': "Of the last beaches Mario has had, plenty, but after this one I think there are really no more. Whether he is already ready for Serie A? Let’s hope so, but it’s not a joke at the speed we play today. The trainer says he has 35 to 40 minutes, not more; however that’s a lot".
"The beautiful thing è everyone has suddenly become a fan of Mario – added the former coach of the national team -. And he has never felt him so charged, so overbearingly determined to come back. If Gila says he has the fire inside, it means he felt something".
"A return without proclamations? But he is right: now there is no need to talk, he must’be judged by what he will do’on the field. He must understand that this’last chance è the most important to make himself remembered. Don’t get me wrong, è he’s already in the history of Italy, in the best memories. But we would all like a wonderful goal on debut. It would be a fairy tale. Difficult, I know, but if we close our eyes, fairy tales always accompany us".
"Gilardino è was one of the revelations of the last championship. Then they sold him three important starters and it è not the same thing. Genoa is suffering, I hope Mario will give them a big hand. We are all rooting for Balo".
"Coexistence with Pinamonti? We don’t think about tactical placement. Pinamonti deserves to play, Mario has to find his space. They can be together. The way I see soccer, we need more organization behind them".
"Mario can" save Genoa? It would be a fairy tale, but we are all impatient and curious to see how he is physically. At what point è. The field è ruthless. At first he might settle for a nice half-hour, and grow, and work. Maybe the fairy tale will continueà…." concluded Prandelli.
