F1, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz arrive in Monza: their words to the public
The audience leaves the riders speechless.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz do not hide their great excitement as they arrive at the Monza track on Italian Grand Prix Sunday, overwhelmed by the affection of Ferrari fans. And to them they try to make a promise ahead of the race. “It is unbelievable, only here there is such a welcome. It will be a special day. We hope we can get a great result. We will focus on our potential and try to make the most of it. We hope it can end up like in 2019,” the Monegasque told ‘Sky Sports’ microphones.
Leclerc then initially glossed over the victory goal and then spoke more openly about it, “We’re taking it slow, but I will give it my all. I will give 200 percent, as always. But to start Sunday like this is incredible. I really hope to give them all the satisfaction they are waiting for today. Do I expect anything special today? Victory. Let’s hope we can do it.”
But very similar words also came from the other Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz. “It’s incredible, I have no words. The noise they make and the affection they give us is breathtaking. Words fail me,” said the Spaniard from the Brianza circuit. And then, addressing the Monza stands, he added, “Thank you, great. We thank you all, we will try to do everything we can to hit a good comeback.”
