After finishing in the lead in the first run, the giant slalom at Kronplatz ended in the worst way for Federica Brignone. In the final stages of her downhill, in fact, the skier from Valle d’Aosta missed a gate, thus beingì eliminated. Triumphing, therefore, è was New Zealand’s Alice Robinson, who recorded the best time of 1'55"28, preceding the elevetic Lara Gut-Behrami and the American Paula Moltzan.
She is placed at the foot of the podium by Albania's Lara Colturi, while Croatia's Zrinka Ljutic rounds out the top 5. Sixth position for Norway's Thea Louise Stjernesund, who precedes the two Canadians Britt Richardson and Valerie Grenier. Rounding out the top 10 are Camille Rast of Switzerland and Nina O'Brien of the United States.
The best of the Italians è Lara Della Mea who closes with an excellent 11th place.
Compounded by the zero she scored at Klonplatz, Federica Brignone saw her lead in the overall standings shrink to 55 points over Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland. In the specialty ranking, however, the Valle d’Aosta native remains in third place with 200 points behind Sara Hector and Alice Robinson, with 296 and 300 points, respectively.
