L'Estra Pistoia announces new general manager

L’Estra Pistoia Basket has announced that Andrea Di Nino will be the new general manager of the red and white club for the next three seasons. Di Nino will also assume the direction of Pistoia Basket’s marketing and social area.
Romano, 53, is a figure whose resume boasts a long and varied experience in the world of sports; for many years, in fact, he has been an international reference in swimming, from founder of the ADN Swimming Project (the only world professional swimming club to date) through the leadership of several national teams to the roles of general manager of the Energy Standard Club and later of the International Swimming League.
In the summer of 2023 he landed at Pistoia Basket in the role of advisor marketing, communication and social area obtaining important results such as the signing of the agreement, still in place, between the club and Gonzaga University in addition to the development of “Together for the Social”, a calendar of initiatives undertaken during the LBA 2023/24 championship that involved the team and the city in various moments of aggregation with, among others, the inauguration of the red seat in the central grandstand to raise awareness among the Red and White fans on the issue of violence against women.
Last season, on the other hand, he served as marketing, commercial and social projects manager of Napolibasket, also in the LBA, also recently winning the “LBA Marketing Award 2025” with the “Un Canestro di Sorrisi” project.
