Chivu’s adventure on the bench of Inter has begun with a draw. The’debut in the World Club Championship against Monterrey has resolved with a draw. The Nerazzurri did not particularly shine but the coach is quite satisfied with his team&#8217s approach to the match.

“We had a good first half even though we went under. We put them in trouble with rotations, we could attack the line better and not get caught offside. In the second half we were a bit slow in dribbling, a few chances we created, we lacked a bit of nastiness under goal”, his words to Dazn.

Chivu had nice words for Esposito and Luis Henrique, the two big new players on the field against Monterrey: “Esposito? In line with the whole team. He gave a good performance. Luis Henrique? He can do better, but he is not yet in condition because he has only done two trainings and taking that into account I liked him. He has personality, he has technique, he has courage and the ability to go one-on-one”.

After the challenge with Monterrey, Inter will be back on the field Saturday night. At 9 p.m. (Italian time), Chivu&#8217s team will take on the Urawa Reds. A win is mandatory to take a decisive step toward qualifying for the round of 16.
