Milan makes further room in the roster: two more goodbyes on the'horizon

Just a few days before the reopening of the summer soccer market, Milan is ready to free up more space in its roster, following the farewells of Tijjani Reijnders (who has already worn the Manchester City jersey at the World Club World Cup) and Theo Hernandez (who will instead go to Al Hilal barring any sensational last-minute reversals).

Two names are leaving Milanello: these are Emerson Royal and Malick Thiaw, with the former destined for the Spanish La Liga, specifically Sevilla Betis, and the latter being disputed between Bayer Leverkusen and Como. The Como club, among others, is already negotiating for another Milan-owned player, Alvaro Morata.

Emerson Royal&#8217s adventure in the Rossoneri thus closes after only one season: a not easy year, characterized by a relative difficulty in adapting to the Italian league and by an injury that, just when his performance seemed to rise in level (he had in fact been among the best in the two Italian Super Cup competitions in Saudi Arabia), blocked him in the second part of the season.

Thiaw, on the other hand, will leave the Rossoneri club, if the deal with Bayer or Como goes through, after three seasons in which he slowly won the trust first of Stefano Pioli and then of Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceiçao. The idea of new sporting director Igli Tare, however, is to focus on other profiles for the defensive sector ahead of next season, the season of Massimiliano Allegri’s return to the Rossoneri bench.
