Women’s European Championship 2025: Italy-Spain, likely lineups

At the Wankdorfstadion in Bern, one of the last two matches in Group B of the Women’s European Championships, that between Italy and Spain, will be staged at 9 p.m., at the same time as Portugal-Belgium.

The Iberian women are already mathematically qualified for the quarterfinals.

The Iberians are already mathematically qualified for the quarterfinals, while Andrea Soncin’s girls would only need a draw, or at the limit a narrow defeat (unless Portugal deals a very heavy defeat to Belgium) to get the pass. If, on the other hand, the Azzurri win, they would qualify as first in the group.

The likely lineups

ITALY (3-4-3): Giuliani; Lenzini, Salvai, Linari; Di Guglielmo, Caruso, Giugliano, Boattin; Cantore, Girelli, Bonansea. Ct: Soncin.

SPAGNA (4-3-3): Coll; Batlle, Paredes, Aleixandri Lopez, Carmona; Patri, Aitana, Alexia; Mariona, Pina, Esther Gonzalez. Ct: Montserrat.
