As in Rome and Paris, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will renew their rivalry in another prestigious final, that of Wimbledon. In the semifinals, the world No. 1 cleared Novak Djokovic in three sets, while it took the Murcian a fraction more to get the better of Taylor Fritz. On the eve of head-to-head number 14 between the two (13 if only the major circuit is counted, Sinner’s 4 wins), Simone Vagnozzi has a clear idea of what may happen.

“We have prepared well – the coach of the ‘SuperTennis Tv’ from Alto Adige told ’SuperTennis Tv’ coach -. In Paris everything was played on a few points, after an incredible match. Everything will be different here, starting with the surface: Carlos comes with a lot of confidence and many matches won consecutively, but Jannik has also done his in these weeks. We hope it will be a beautiful match”.

“Jannik overcame well the first matches, then came the one with Dimitrov where that physical problem suffered at the beginning had limited him – added Vagnozzi -. Fortunately since the quarters his serve has become efficient again, and here on the grass it is an important aspect. In fact, it will be crucial to have points with the serve, Sunday it could make the difference”.

The one scheduled for Sunday will be the fourth consecutive Slam final for Jannik Sinner, after the one in 2024 at the US Open won against Fritz and the ones this year at the Australian Open, won against Zverev, and at Roland Garros, lost to Alcaraz. The Murcian, on the other hand, is in his third consecutive final at the London Slam: in both 2023 and 2024 he met Novak Djokovic, winning on both occasions.
