Pecco Bagnaia got tired of finishing third

Contrasting moods for Pecco Bagnaia, who is satisfied with third place in the German Grand Prix but at the same time is fed up with placing on the bottom step of the podium. Here are his words at the end of the race.
“Yesterday’s race remains fixed as a reminder that in the wet we have to improve: even in Le Mans I had struggled a lot with grip behind. But today is another day, I got a good start and got rid of a lot of riders right away. I had a good reaction at the lights and that helped me. Today was difficult, with the front you were risking in many corners: you couldn’t get the same pace as on Friday.”
“I struggled a little bit and the race in general was similar to many others this year, apart from starting tenth. I got as close as 0.5, then I went back, it was always the same story. You have to be able to step up, I don’t like to finish every race third.”
“You have to look at the positive: I am satisfied with the result, because you never know what can happen starting so far back. The pace to fight for the podium was there, and even before the race I was quite convinced I could fight.”
“I knew I had this potential: then so many things happened, so many people made mistakes. It was complicated for us to get to the end. Marc was doing a separate race, but Alex and I were similar in terms of pace and riding feeling. Now we need to take two-three steps forward, working in the direction we have taken.”
“The temperature was the optimal one for the tire and to go fast. Today there was wind pushing from behind, and when you entered the corner letting off the brakes, if you weren’t perfectly aligned, you had a hard time slowing the bike down. A push came from behind and it became complicated.”
