Tour de France, Tadej Pogacar also dominates Peyragudes time trial

Tadej Pogacar increased his domination of the Tour de France by also winning the 10.9-kilometer time trial from Loudenvielle to Peyragudes, stage 13 of the Grande Boucle.
36 seconds was the advantage of the Slovenian “cannibal” of UAE Team Emirates XRG over his direct rival, Danish Team Visma Lease a Bike’s Jonas Vingegaard. Third at 1’20” was the other Slovenian Primoz Roglic, rider of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe.
Fourth but already at 1’56” is German Florian Lipowitz, Roglic’s teammate. Twelfth at 2’39” is Soudal Quick-Step’s Belgian specialty world champion Remco Evenepoel, who was joined and overtaken within sight of the finish line by Vingegaard, who started two minutes after him.
The Belgian was the first rider to be caught.
For Pogacar it is the fourth stage win in this Tour and now in the overall standings he is ahead of Vingegaard by 4’07”, Evenepoel for now saves third place, detached by 7’24”, but Lipowitz is only six seconds behind him.
Tomorrow will be one of the highlights of this edition of the Grande Boucle: 182.6 kilometers starting in Pau, the historic Tourmalet, Aspin and Peyresourde hills along the way and the uphill finish in Luchon-Superbagneres.
