Jannik Sinner ready to return to where he won first 1000

After winning Wimbledon, Jannik Sinner has completely disappeared from the radar. The world number 1 is relaxing with family and friends, recharging his batteries in his own way. The azure knows that a real tour de force now awaits him. He begins the season on concrete with Jannik Sinner called upon to defend lots of points in the ATP ranking perspective.

The world number 1 is entered in the Canadian Open 2025 edition (starting next July 27). A tournament that Jannik Sinner knows very well since, in Toronto, exactly two years ago, he won the first Masters 1000 of his career.

On that occasion, clear victory over Alex De Minaur: 6-4, 6-1 in an hour and twenty minutes of play. Last year, on the other hand, the’azure surrendered, to the quarterfinals, to Andrej Rublev (6-3,1-6, 6-2 the partials of the match). The latter, then, was beaten, in the final, by Alexei Popyrin.

The Canadian Open will be the first of three concrete events awaiting Jannik Sinner in this hot summer. After the stop in Toronto, he will participate in the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and, finally, he will focus on the U.S. Open, the last Slam of the season where, best to remember, he is defending champion. In short, a few more days of well-deserved rest and then Jannik Sinner will have to return to focus exclusively on tennis.
