First practice in Cincinnati for Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner took the court for his first practice in Cincinnati. The world No. 1, three weeks after his historic triumph at Wimbledon, tested the U.S. concrete ahead of the Masters 1000 beginning Thursday.
The Sesto Pusteria outfielder, who will turn 24 on Aug. 16, took the court in the Ohio afternoon (Italian night). He will have to defend the title he won last year when he defeated Frances Tiafoe in the final.
The South Tyrolean’s tournament debut, like all seeded players who have a “bye” in the first round, is scheduled for next weekend. This year Jannik has a record of 26 wins and 3 losses, two of them against Carlos Alcaraz in the finals in Rome and Paris.
He has won vito two tournaments, however, and they are no small tournaments since they are two Slams: Australian Open (in the final over Alexander Zverev) and Wimbledon (in the final over Alcaraz). In early practice in Cincinnati he was reunited with his Australian coach Darren Cahill.
