Ferrari crisis: disappointed drivers and victory missing for an'eternity

Blessed break. Formula 1, after the Hungarian GP and the’umpteenth McLaren domination, has gone on vacation. Next on the agenda is the Dutch GP, scheduled for Aug. 31. The hope is that the Cavallino will manage, in this hot week of August, to solve all the problems that are making the season an ordeal.

First there&#8217s to rekindle the’enthusiasm in Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time World Champion is in low spirits and just can&#8217t find the right feeling with the Red. He seems lost and without that fire inside that made him a star. Then there’s Leclerc, increasingly frustrated by the many missed opportunities. The years go by and his dream of winning a World Cup continues to remain a dream.

Some data are indeed puzzling. Ferrari has not won a GP in more than nine months. The’last joy was on October 27, 2024 with Carlos Sainz&#8217s success in the Mexican GP. A negative streak that hurts, very badly.

Bitterly mulls Charles Leclerc, who is stuck at eight GP wins in his lifetime career. He has not finished first since the 2024 U.S. GP. Moreover, Lando Norris has just passed him. In fact, with the Hungarian GP, the Briton rose to nine GPs won. In short, despite the renewal of Frederic Vasseur&#8217s contract, the Red is in crisis. Blessed break.
