Fiorentina, Riccardo Sottil packs his bags again: another loan transfer

Returned to Fiorentina at the beginning of July after the bittersweet experience on loan at AC Milan, Riccardo Sottil is ready to pack his bags again, this time with destination Salento: in fact, the class 1999 striker will be transferred again on loan from the lily club, this time to Lecce. According to reports from ‘Sky Sport‘, Sottil will be Giallorossi on a dry loan and will return again to Florence at the end of the 2025-2026 season.
The Turin-born player (the city where his father Andrea, now a Modena coach, played, wearing the granata jersey) will therefore wear a fourth different jersey in Serie A, after those of Fiorentina, Cagliari and Milan. In Lecce he finds among other things precisely a former teammate in the Rossoneri, Francesco Camarda, also a Giallorossi player on loan.
In the 2024-2025 season, Sottil played 25 games with Fiorentina jersey between the league, Conference League and Coppa Italia, also scoring 5 goals, while in the rossonero he failed to carve out much space, taking the field 8 times between the league and Coppa Italia without ever scoring.
In Lecce, the 26-year-old striker is counting on regaining the confidence with the goal that had made him stand out at the Primavera championship level, when he went in double figures both in the 2016-2017 season and the following one, always in the Fiorentina uniform. The footballer, in addition to his experiences in the A league with Fiorentina, Cagliari and Milan, also played a part season in the B league with Pescara, from January to June 2019.
