Giovanni Leoni, a big name from across the Channel pops up: Inter changes strategy

With the now imminent landing of Koni De Winter at AC Milan, Inter’s road to get Giovanni Leoni seemed to be paved: in the last hours, however, a news from England will most likely force the Nerazzurri to change strategy: in fact, Liverpool has reportedly set its sights on the young Parma defender, for whom it has studied an impressive offer.

As reported by ‘Sky Sport‘, the Reds are ready to put 30 million euros in the pot, to which a series of bonuses linked to the player&#8217s performance in Liverpool should be added. A figure that could convince Parma despite the ducal club&#8217s desire to keep the player for at least another year, given the possibility of monetizing immediately.

L’Inter, for its part, is not standing idly by and is ready for a change of strategy, which would lead to a compromise with Parma itself: sale immediately, but possibility for the player to stay in the Gialloblù in presito, for one if not two years. A formula that would allow the same Leoni not to have to immediately join an already rich roster in the backroom.

The tug-of-war therefore depends not only on the possibility of making cash, but also on the possibility of further developing a decisively rising footballer, who from 2023 to 2025 went from Serie C to Serie B, then to Serie A (with the jerseys, respectively, of Padova, Sampdoria and Parma), increasing experience after experience the number of appearances on the field.
