Jannik Sinner has announced that he will miss the upcoming Atp tournament in Astana: the Italian tennis player, struggling with an ankle injury suffered in his match against Rune in Sofia, has forfeited the competition in Kazakhstan. Ubitennis reports.
The 2001 class, who was scheduled to face Germany’s Oscar Otte in the first round, is hoping to recover in time for the Atp 250 in Florence, Italy, but with the Atp Finals now a long way off he may decide on even a longer stop to recover 100 percent. Matteo Berrettini is expected to be in Tuscany.
