Arrigo Sacchi berates Simone Inzaghi and Jose Mourinho
Reached by Gazzetta dello Sport, Arrigo Sacchi commented thus on the challenge between Inter and Roma won by the Giallorossi 2-1: “At one point I asked myself: but are they going to make an action? You couldn’t see anything, a defensive block on one side and a defensive block on the other. Of pressing not even a shadow. Both Inter and Roma were defending with eight players. So it is difficult for it to be a spectacle.”
“I don’t think either of them would have deserved the victory. I really don’t like certain matches. Too many tactics, very low pace all the time. Both teams were waiting for the champion’s cue or the opponent’s mistake. Inzaghi and Mourinho are very good tacticians, but the public expects something more. Also because the good players on the field were not lacking, the game was lacking.”
