Beppe Marotta explains Inter's market strategies

Inter president Beppe Marotta took stock of the Nerazzurri’s soccer market a few days before the end of the summer session: “We have given up some requests for some of our players and then tried to seize some opportunities on the market”.
“Italian soccer is now second-rate, you can’t do crazy things, we have to be creative– he explained to Sky. There was talk of Lookman but Atalanta decided not to put him on the market. Our model is to focus on young people: we have done so by investing four profiles with an average age of 21. Without forgetting Pio Esposito. All d’accord with the technical area”.
“We are shaping a roster in tune with Oaktree programs. Another reinforcement? We are not looking for a defender because we don’t have a need at present. We will see if there are opportunities but the department is strong and provides great guarantees. I do not foresee any radical changes, if there’s someone leaving we will take a replacement”.
Chivu“is not a fallback, we chose him because he is capable of working with young people and has played with Inter in the past. Fabregas was just a candidate”.
