Denis Shapovalov has no illusions recalling victory over Jannik Sinner

Denis Shapovalov will be Jannik Sinner’s next opponent in the third round of the Us Open 2025.

“Jannik Sinner doesn’t have many weaknesses – said the Canadian -. He is obviously solid from every position. I will have to dictate the game and try to play my game and go for my shots. He will not concede much to me during the match. I just have to take advantage of opportunities when they arise and try to stay aggressive. I must not let him dictate the game too much”.

Only one previous match between the two, lost by the’South Tyrolean at the Australian Open 2021: “I remember it was a very difficult match, a very tough first round for both of them. Definitely a great match to remember, but obviously a lot has changed”.
