Pierre Gasly lashes out at Alpha Tauri over race strategy

Alpha Tauri driver Pierre Gasly has made no secret of his frustration with the team over his blown fifth place finish in Singapore. In the crosshairs of the transalpine driver is the decision of the pit wall to call him to the pits in his opinion too early.

“We had everything in our hands and we threw it away because we decided to change too early. I don’t understand why, we gambled but we didn’t need to. The others stayed on the track and we were overtaken by four cars. Ricciardo was far behind but he stayed on the track, as we should have done. I’m sad, I’m not happy with 10th place.”
