Important recognition for Carmen De Gironimo and her Emotional & More

An important recognition for the association Emotional & More APS and its president Carmen De Gironimo. In Arezzo as part of the 14th edition of the Italian Football Festival, during the day-event Sport Without Borders, as the creator of all the Forums dedicated to the combination of sport and emotion, she received an Honorable Mention for active participation.
The certificate was presented by Festival President Donato Alfani. “Initiatives such as those of Emotional & More represent the true soul of inclusive sports, capable of breaking down barriers and giving a voice to those who too often have none,” he emphasized.
The event was presented by the president of the Festival, Donato Alfani.
Carmen De Gironimo strongly wanted to share this space with the FIGC – Paralympic and Experimental Football Division, thanking its request accepted in presence and collaboration, which made the intervention even more meaningful. In fact, the stage was attended by Umbria regional referent Armando Marcucci and the three young athletes Andrea, Adriano and Daniele, who recently joined the Perugia team of DCPS.
“They are the real added value – pointed out De Gironimo – because they embody the authentic sense of inclusion: getting on the field and living sport, beyond the result. This award is not mine, but ours: it is the association’s, Vice President Maria De Caroli’s, and it is above all of these kids and those who, like us, put their souls into it before their roles.”
The testimonies of the boys made tangible the power of soccer in transforming lives and relationships. Some recounted finding a family at last, some happiness, some the feeling of finally being understood. Concepts that moved the audience and reaffirmed the centrality of sports as a vehicle for happiness and real inclusion.
Referent Marcucci recalled the importance of “putting kids on the field without fear of their disabilities, because it is only by playing that their true value is discovered.” Words that were echoed in the atmosphere of the day, dedicated to demonstrating how sports can break down barriers and build bonds.
“With this mention – they remarked at Emotional & More APS – we reinforce our role as protagonists in social and cultural campaigns that unite sports, emotion and inclusion, carrying forward a clear vision: in sports as in life, you always win or lose together.”
