Paulo Dybala, the crystal champion: so many career injuries

Paulo Dybala stopped one’more time. In the match with Torino, the Argentine suffered a physical problem and was forced to raise the white flag. From initial examinations, it appears that he will be forced to miss two games, so he will not be there for the Derby on Sunday, Sept. 21.
A big trouble for coach Gian Piero Gasperini who knows perfectly well how important it is to have the Joya in top condition to aim for prestigious goals. The problem is that the Argentine star player is collecting an endless series of injuries that are, in fact, affecting his career.
An alarming statistic: the last time the Argentine managed to take the field in at least 30 of the 38 Serie A matches dates back to the 2019/20 season, when he collected 33 appearances in the top Italian tournament with the Juventus jersey.
Since then, the Argentine has had to deal with a lot of stoppages. Last season, due mainly to a tendon tear suffered in mid-March, he was unavailable for as many as 150 days. The year before, also in the Giallorossi, there were 101 days he was out. In his first year at Roma, he had to miss 20 matches. In the following two years, there were 16 games in which he could not play.
Data of great concern. Paulo Dybala’s talent has never been in question, but he looks more and more like a crystal outfielder. Gian Piero Gasperini’s mission is to figure out how to centralize him so he doesn’t miss too many games.
