Jakub Wojciechowski opens his third chapter in Brindisi

Valtur Brindisi has made official the return to the biancazzurro of Jakub Wojciechowski, an Italian-trained Polish center who turned 35 last Jan. 9. Wojciechowski, before signing with Brindisi, trained with Napoli in the summer after a season in Casale Monferrato, but without tying himself to the Neapolitan club.
The one that clicks today is the Polish player’s third career interlude in the Messapic city: he had in fact worn the New Basket jersey back in 2012, again with Piero Bucchi on the bench, winning the A2 Italian Cup and the playoffs for promotion, and later in the 2018-2019 year, contributing to the success in the Final Eight of the National Cup.
Wojciechowski made his senior debut in the 2008-2009 season with Treviso, a club with which he had completed the youth ranks. He has also dressed the uniforms of Casalpusterlengo, Brescia, Torino, Veroli, Mantova, Cantù, Cremona, Capo d’Orlando, Wloclawek, Legia Warsaw, Biella, Olimpia Milano, Stal Ostrov Wielkoposki, Dinamo Bucarest, Mykonos and Monferrato.
The Polish veteran will try to contribute to the Valtur Brindisi‘s main goal, a return to Serie A: the biancazzurri will play, this year, their second consecutive season in A2 and aim for a better year than last year, which ended in 13th place in the regular season before the quarterfinal playoff loss to Rimini.
