Matteo Berrettini: "I played at a very high level"

He is happy, Matteo Berrettini, in commenting on his marathon victory over Cameron Norrie in the second round of the ATP 500 on the Vienna indoor cement. Here are the words of the 29-year-old Roman.
“I am really proud of the tennis I was able to express. The support of my team and that of the public helped me not to give up”.
“I had chances, I missed them but I didn“t think about it, that’s why when I didn’t close in the second set I knew I would have more opportunities in the third. And I think this mental attitude helped me so much.”
“Now it is hard to think already about the next match: meanwhile I deserve to enjoy a little bit’ this victory, and then I am quite tired. Today I think I played at a very high level, better than yesterday, but after all, the debut is never easy.”
“Against Alex de Minaur it will be another battle because he is a great fighter, and he is one of the players who have improved the most. We know each other very well, we have faced each other many times before and I am sure it will be a great match”.
