In this start of the season, the need for a new center forward for AC Milan: Santiago Gimenez has scored just 1 goal (in the Coppa Italia against Lecce) and Christopher Nkunku is also certainly not shining in goal scoring.

Among the profiles sounded out by sporting director Igli Tare is also Alexander Sørloth, outgoing from Atletico Madrid. The Norwegian giant was expected to play more but Cholo Simeone often employs him as a substitute: in the first 15 games of the season the former Villarreal player totaled 700 minutes in which he scored 2 goals.

There is, however, an obstacle for Milan: so far the Diavolo was reasoning about the loan with redemption option but on Sørloth’s trail are also some English clubs ready to buy him outright right away. Obviously, for the Colchoneros the option to cash in immediately is much more attractive, so the Rossoneri are not the favorites for the purchase of the Norwegian giant.

There is no shortage of alternative options for the Diavolo: the young Joaquín Panichelli, author of a super start to the season with 10 goals in 14 appearances with the Strasbourg jersey, is very liked. Don&#8217t rule out also the Gabriel Jesus option, outgoing from Arsenal.

The Brazilian is still out with a ruptured cruciate ligament in his knee and is expected to return in early 2026. The Gunners want to get rid of him and he could leave England next summer for a very attractive price.
