Walter De Raffaele doesn’t accept defeat in Pesaro
The words of Walter De Raffaele
Coach Walter De Raffaele spoke postgame about the game at the Vitrifrigo Arena in Pesaro, which was won at the end of the period by the hosts.
“It was a game that had within it two different games for us: the first two quarters definitely insufficient in terms of intensity and mental presence both offensively and defensively. We were at the mercy of Pesaro for the entire 20 minutes, whatever quintet was on the court. The third and fourth periods were played with more focus, a different intensity and much more execution. It was a game that saw us chasing almost all the time, but we had the ability to turn it around and bring it to our side with patience, then losing it by a final episode. Pesaro won with merit, but if we had won there would have been nothing to say. As we knew Pesaro is a good team and this game should serve as a warning to us: there are no easy games, especially away. Now we continue to work on us, on our mutual knowledge and identity.”
