Darren Cahill has officially given Jannik Sinner his willingness to cooperate again in 2026: “We made a little bet at Wimbledon and Jannik won it, it is not my decision. If Jannik wants me to stay in 2026, I will be there” he said in a press conference before the Atp Finals.

“I am not a young man anymore, plus my specific role within the team is something they should consider to have a new voice, a new look, a new inspiration. But if he is not ready to do that, there is no problem. It will be up to him, and when we talk about it at the end of the year, I want him to do what is best for him” said the coach of the South Tyrolean.

“If he thinks it&#8217s the right time to make that change, that&#8217s perfectly fine with me, and I&#8217ll also help him try to find the person to succeed me– added Cahill. But if he wants me, I&#8217m there. He has to make sure he keeps his options open to keep improving, to make sure he always reaches the next level”.

The coach then analyzed the team: “We have done a great job in the last three years at the internal communication level. Together with Vagnozzi we support each other and do the best for Jannik’s future. Every day we work on the details: from the way he enters the court to the way he trains, we are all committed to making him a better tennis player and a more mature person off the court. From this point of view, he is more relaxed and more smiling”.

“We are happy with the way Jannik has arrived here in Turin and how he is preparing. He has confidence and is in great shape, and the race for the number 1 ranking is exciting. Between us we weren&#8217t talking about it because we were further apart but regardless of what happens, what Sinner has done this’year is fantastic” concluded Darren Cahill.
