Napoli falls to Bologna in one of the two matches of the 11th day of Serie A: the Italian champions were defeated 2-0 at the Dall’Ara and remain on 22 points. The Emilians, on the other hand, climb back to 21. The match between Genoa and Fiorentina, directed for the first time by De Rossi and Vanoli, respectively, ended 2-2.

Bologna-Napoli 2-0
50′ Dallinga (B), 66′ Lucumì (B)

Balanced first half with immediately bad news for Italiano, who loses goalkeeper Skorupski due to a muscle problem: in his place on the field is the very young Massimo Pessina, class 2007, making his absolute debut among professionals and grew up in the Emilia club’s nursery. Bologna maintained the initiative and came close to taking the lead with Lucumì and Rowe. Champions of Italy rather dull: Conte&#8217s team struggled to create scoring chances throughout the first 45′.

Bologna took the lead at the start of the second half with Dallinga, scoring on 50′ with Dallinga arriving faster than anyone else on Cambiaghi’s cross. The Azzurri struggled to react and were very inaccurate in the build-up phase, thanks in part to the red-blue press. Italiano’s team, on the other hand, is very concrete and at 66′ doubles thanks to Lucumì, who takes advantage of an amnesia by Buongiorno to bag the 2-0 on Holm’s cross. Conte inserted Lang, Neres and Lucca: the partenopei threw themselves forward desperately and hit the post with Gutierrez at 76′. Napoli ran out of energy in the final and could no longer reopen the game.

Genoa-Fiorentina 2-2

14′ Ostigard (G), 20′ Gudmundsson (F), 58′ Piccoli (F), 60′ Colombo (G)

The challenge between the two rookie coaches Daniele De Rossi (in the stands because he was disqualified) and Paolo Vanoli ends in a draw. In the first half, the Grifone took the lead through Ostigard, scoring a header off a Martin free kick; the Gigliati equalized after a few minutes through Gudmunsson on a penalty kick awarded for Colombo’s wide arm. At the start of the second half, De Gea parried a penalty from Colombo, and Fiorentina doubled the score at 58′ with Piccoli, served vertically by Sohm. The Ligurians reacted immediately, and at 60′ they equalized with Colombo, who made up for his earlier mistake by making it 2-2.
