Scare for Franco Morbidelli: his condition after the fall

An unfortunate Sunday for Franco Morbidelli in Portimao: the Valentino Rossi team centaur slipped at Turn 5 during the first lap. Forced to close the Portuguese Grand Prix earlier than expected, Franco underwent an initial medical examination at the circuit, where no injuries emerged.
For further investigations, the VR46 rider was transported to Alvor hospital, where tests confirmed the initial findings.
These are the words of team manager Pablo Nieto: “Unfortunately, Franco’s weekend has not been easy, because he has not been able to find the optimal feeling. Today he slipped in the race, but, fortunately, the doctors have confirmed that there are no injuries. This is the most important thing”.
