When Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori play at the ATP Finals: background with Granollers/Zeballos

After a fine win in the opener with Cash/Glasspool, Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori are set to return to the court on the second day of the ‘Peter Fleming’ Group. The seventh-seeded favorites will take on third-seeded Marcel Granollers/Horacio Zeballos.
The match between the Azzurri and the Spanish-Argentinean pair will open the program on Tuesday, Nov. 11: starting at 11:30 a.m. on the indoor concrete center court of the Inalpi Arena, then at 2 p.m. Carlos Alcaraz, opposing Taylor Fritz, while in the evening it will be Lorenzo Musetti’s turn with Alex De Minaur.
There are four previous matches between Bolelli/Vavassori and Granollers/Zeballos and the balance is perfectly even. The Italian duo prevailed in their first two meetings, both played on clay in 2024: in the finals at the’ATP 250 in Buenos Aires and in the round of 16 at the’ATP 500 in Rio de Janeiro.
The Spanish-Argentinean pair prevailed, however, in the last two direct clashes staged on outdoor concrete: in the semifinals at the Indian Wells Masters 1000 2024 and in the quarterfinals of the Montreal Masters 1000 2024.
