The possibility of Lorenzo Insigne returning to Serie A is becoming increasingly concrete. Not to Napoli, which has essentially closed the door on his possible return, but to Lazio, which is desperate for reinforcements.

The Biancoceleste club’s problems with incoming operations are well known, but the 34-year-old Neapolitan is now free, after the end of his adventure with Toronto FC, and represents a golden opportunity.

Insigne has reportedly already opened up to this possibility and figures are being discussed: a contract of around 1.2 million per season until 2027 could make all parties happy.

Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna had spoken to the microphones of Sky Sport in the pre-match match of Napoli-Qarabag: “He doesn&#8220t even go on the list because he&#8230s home-grown; We talked with Insigne this summer as well, I think you know, and we made assessments. Right now we have other issues and therefore other priorities, because in the middle of the field we are really counted. If purchases will be made they will be made there. Insigne is still an important footballer”.
