Juventus market, Dusan Vlahovic’s injury may upset plans

Big problem for Luciano Spalletti and Juventus: after a little more than half an hour of play against Cagliari, Dusan Vlahovic had to leave the field due to a muscle injury suffered following an attempted shot by the Serbian. In his place came Jonathan David, who led the’attack with first Kenan Yildiz and Francisco Conceição and then Loïs Openda. Dusan Vlahovic&#8217s physical trouble is worrying the HCL fans a lot: the Serbian came out in tears and the feelings are not good, in the next few hours the center forward will undergo instrumental examinations to better understand the’extent of the trouble.

Dusan Vlahovic’s injury could also have repercussions on the Juventus market, which in January seemed willing to consider possible offers for Jonathan David. The Canadian former Lille man is struggling mightily with the Juventus shirt and there seemed to be a number of Premier League clubs on his trail, but Vlahovic’s trouble, if a long stop is confirmed, could stop everything. In this scenario Jonathan David would stay in Turin to try to play his cards and he would certainly have more chances to do so given precisely the lack of competition from Vlahovic. The Canadian would have to play it out with Loïs Openda but Juventus commitments could guarantee both a good amount of minutes.

Dusan Vlahovic has a contract expiring at the end of the season and negotiations for renewal are at a standstill: there&#8217s a great distance between supply and demand, a factor that has so far wrecked any attempt at talks for an extension. Last summer, the Serbian was sought by Massimiliano Allegri’s AC Milan but Juventus preferred to keep him in the hope that the contract situation would be resolved: this was not the case and now there are only a few months left before Vlahovic can leave Turin on a zero-parameter basis. The champion at the moment is focused only on matters on the field and he&#8217s confirmed it in recent interviews but it is undeniable that his name circulates a lot in market talk.

Barcelona is among the most interested clubs: the Blaugrana at the end of the season will have to replace the departing Robert Lewandowski, who is being sought by Fenerbahce and Milan, and the opportunity to sign a champion of Vlahovic&#8217s caliber for free is obviously very interested (given also the Catalan club&#8217s financial difficulties). Watch out also for Bayern Munich, which already evaluated Vlahovic last summer and could choose him as an alternative to Harry Kane. In the Premier League there seems to be the interest of Tottenham but the other bigs at the moment do not need reinforcements in attack. Clearly then there&#8217s the question of AC Milan, which could step in again if the opportunity is there.
