The two consecutive victories in Serie A, against Bologna and Roma respectively, have restored momentum for Juventus, which is now in fifth place in the standings, just one point behind the Champions League zone, and four behind leading Inter. Among the protagonists of the Bianconeri revival is certainly Weston McKennie, author of the assist for Openda&#8217s momentary double goal with the Giallorossi, as well as having scored two goals in the last two Champions League matches with Bodo/Glimt and Pafos.

The Bianconeri have been the protagonists of the revival.

Since Luciano Spalletti has been sitting on the Bianconeri bench, the American midfielder has always been employed from the first minute, collecting eleven out of eleven appearances as a starter. On the sidelines of a charity event at the Salesian oratory Michele Rua in Turin, McKennie praised his coach: “The coach, who is a very good coach, knows how to play soccer and how to train players. I like him very much: he pays attention to the little things, the things that normally not everyone pays too much attention to. He also talks to the players individually; he is a good coach also for the relationship with the individual player”.

“He always says in training that you have to make sacrifices for the team and for your teammate. And also to score goals: he says it is better to make an assist, because then you make two smiles instead of just one” added the U.S. soccer player, who also sent a message to the Old Lady in terms of the market. McKennie, who has a contract expiring on June 30, 2026, would like to continue his adventure in bianconero: “Renewal? I don’t know, I leave that to my agent. He talks to me, but I hope to stay here…”.

The American celebrated 200 appearances in a Juventus jersey in the last league game with Roma: “A great moment for me, for my family and for the people in America, I am very happy because Juventus is a great club. It’s hard to make 200 appearances with Juventus and I hope to make as many”.

Out injured from the match with the Giallorossi, McKennie underwent instrumental examinations that ruled out muscle injuries, as communicated by the Bianconeri club itself. However, the American remains in doubt for the trip to Pisa on Saturday, Dec. 27.
